Q. What is the cost of membership?

Q. What are the requirements for Associate Membership?

Any company or organization interested in developing standards for statistical and data mining models is encouraged to become an associate member.

Q. What are the requirements for Full Membership?

There are 2 requirements for full membership:
  1. The Vendor must be shipping products that contain multiple statistical and data mining models.
  2. Full members must also participate regularly in the weekly PMML telephone conference call. Those who cannot participate weekly may remain as Associate Members.
  3. Please see DMG FEES 2008 (the same for 2009 & 2010) for full description of membership benefits.

Q. Where do members get information about the weekly calls?

Once you become a member, you will receive information from DMG (via e-mail) on how to participate in the telephone conference calls.

Q. What is the DMG online forum?

DMG hosts an open online discussion forum for all members. It can be accessed at http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=56177

Q. How do I become a Member?

We ask that you fill out the DMG Application, which will be reviewed and voted on. Please send this information to info@dmg.org.

Q. How long will it take to process my application and find out if I am accepted as a Member?

All applications for Associate Membership will be processed within one month. Full Membership is subject to vote and each case will be processed individually.

Q. I sent in a request a while back and never heard anything. Do I need to send in my request again?

All previous requests are being processed and you will be contacted shortly. If you have not heard from DMG, please do send your request again to info@dmg.org.

Q. What is the best occasion to meet current DMG Members?

The KDD conference is the best way to get up to date on the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) and to meet some of the current DMG Members. Every year, members organize workshops or panels highlighting PMML and open standards for data mining.
